Not quite station manager, but he does essentially run the station. He's really quite an excellent fellow-- we should all keep him in mind.
By the way, he went in to surgery on Friday morning to have a plate put in his back (they plan to remove it sometime this week). The idea apparently is to relieve some pressure on his spine so that he can regain full mobility in his upper body. But the doctors think he'll be ok, and he will be starting rehab shortly. Thank God.
I don't really know medical details (C4, T4, what's that?), but it appears surgery went fine, and he's even allowed visitors now (I think he's in Englewood). He's acting like his usual self, and the doctors say he'll be able to start rehab before Thanksgiving.
I must say, that blog post was the most boring two liner nothing. Who is this guy? Why should we care about your friend? What happened? I mean we should have some sort of gauge of what we are praying for, did he sprain his wrist or does he have cervical cancer? These things matter.
Anyway doc, it was a C4, and taz, spinal fusion is permanent, they did two operation one for the front and one for the back, not putting in and taking out.
You know that Jewish coffins are not supposed to have any metal, anyone know the verdict on the corpse, because I am part titanium (and I don't know what they used for the lung staples) so all of a sudden, I'm curious.

In his back or in his neck? What was the exact level, C4 or T4?
